Description
Ported throttle bodies require more tuning revisions than non-ported throttle bodies. Not all tuners are willing to tune for it. It is the customer responsibly to verify with their tuner if their tuner is willing to tune for it and verify cost of tune revisions prior to purchasing. AFS warranty policy covers any manufacturing defects and documented damage in shipping. AFS does not accept returns for ported throttle bodies if your tuner is unable/unwilling to work with the product.
The diameter at the throttle shaft remains 87mm to aide in ease of tuning; the inlet/outlet tapers are changed; the throttle shaft is thinned and the throttle blade is modified.
Porting picks up 5-7 hp/7-9 ft lbs of torque with big gains and throttle response and mid-range torque that you can feel.
Depending on your motor and year, you may need either a GT350 or Bullitt Throttle Body. The basic design of these two parts is the same, but the electronics are different. The GT350 Throttle Body comes from the GT350 motor and can be run on a 2011-2021 GT350, a 2015-2017 Mustang GT, or a 2015-2017 F150. The Bullitt Throttle Body was made for the 2018+ Bullitt Mustang and is compatible with the 2018+ Mustang GT or F150.
Requires an adapter plate to run on the stock Mustang GT Intake Manifold with 80mm inlet size. (Can be purchased through AFS for $150)
